(Al-Mumthahana) 60 : 3
لَنْ تَنْفَعَكُمْ أَرْحَامُكُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُكُمْ ۚ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَكُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
Neither your relatives nor your children will benefit you on the Day of Judgment; He will separate between you, while Allah is ever watching whatever you have been doing.
It is told in verse 74: 38-39 that each soul is a pledge for whatever it has earned. Since the believers are always bothered that the Book of Deeds is fastened on everyone’s neck. So they won’t keep any relationship with anyone sincerely except under the Light of Adhikr, as explained in verse 43: 67. See explanation 45: 28-32; and 70: 10-13.
